Pho Hien Trang

Pho Hien Trang, located at 1314 Union Ave NE #8, Renton, WA 98059, offers a delightful and authentic Vietnamese dining experience, specializing in Pho and a variety of other dishes. Known for its reasonable prices and hearty portions, this local gem has become a favorite among Pho enthusiasts.

The Pho at Pho Hien Trang is a standout, praised for its rich, flavorful broth and tender meat. The dish is a perfect balance of ingredients, offering a delicious, comforting meal. While some customers have mentioned a wish for more onions in their Pho, the overall taste and quality remain top-notch. The restaurant is perfect for those craving a quick and satisfying meal, though it's important to note that service is more casual and focused on efficiency, making it ideal for a fast, no-fuss dining experience.

In addition to Pho, Pho Hien Trang offers a highly praised Banh Mi sandwich. Particularly popular is the pork Banh Mi, which boasts a generous portion of savory meat, complemented by a well-balanced mix of vegetables and spicy jalapeños. The sandwich bread may occasionally be a bit dry, but this can be easily remedied by enjoying it fresh or reheating it for a softer texture. Although online ordering is not available, the absence of processing fees is a plus for those who prefer in-person visits.

The restaurant’s commitment to fresh, quality ingredients is evident in its offerings, with the owner personally selecting fresh meat on his days off. This attention to detail is one of the reasons customers return regularly. The staff is known for their friendly service, with many patrons appreciating the owner’s hard work and dedication to his family.

However, Pho Hien Trang can get crowded, especially on weekends, so it’s advisable to arrive early to secure a seat. Whether you're craving Pho, rice dishes, or fried prawns, this spot guarantees a satisfying meal every time.

The pho was delicious and the price was very affordable! I only wished there were more onions provided, otherwise no complaints for the food. Don't really expect any amazing service here or anything it seems like a quick sit down and eat place. Will come back for the reasonable prices if I'm craving pho!

One of the best banh mi sandwiches I've had for the price point! I've come here a few times now for the pork banh mi. The sandwich filling is delicious, with a hefty portion of meat and a great balance of veggies. The jalapeños can sometimes give the sandwich more of a kick but I love my food spicy so it's perfect for me. I have found the bread to be a bit inconsistent and it can sometimes be a little dry, however I've found the best way to avoid that is eating the sandwich super fresh (I usually get it to go so there's some time between the shop to home) or even reheating a little to soften the bread up. One down side is there isn't the ability to order online, but the upside to that is that you're not paying an online / processing fee! There other food looks tasty too and I'm excited to give it a try if I burn out on the banh mi anytime soon

I'm from South Seattle and usually I get Pho and my Vietnamese food near King Plaza... but ever since my bf introduced me to Pho Hien, I always find a reason to come here! We're here almost every week. Maybe 2-3 times a week bc the food is so delicious here! It's so authentic and the staff is so friendly. Usually the owner is the one taking orders, such a sweet guy, he provides for his family so he's always working 7 days a week, he works so hard for his girls! He told us he picks out fresh meat on his days off and his Pho broth is the best out here! Fresh food. Great people. From the pho to rice dishes and fried prawns it's the best! 10/10 highly recommend. On the weekends it gets super packed so get there as early as you can.

It's been a while since I came back here. Went to lunch with my sister who was in the area. Service is very minimal here, so don't come here with high expectation. Upon arrival, find a seat and sit down. Someone will come with the menu. I ordered the Hainanese chicken. It's still as good as I remember. They used to serve only weekends, but it looks like you can order it anytime now. The portion is huge! My sister ordered the com tam suon bi cha, instead of the pork chop, she asked for the short ribs, which they were able to accommodate. I originally ordered the fresh blended strawberry drink, except they didn't have it, and gave the powdered bubble tea version instead. It's okay, but I wouldn't recommend ordering this. It was fairly crowded with people, so can be fairly noisy which is a lot better than some Renton Highland establishment where it may feel like you're in a library.

I've been back 2 more times for a total of 3 visits. Once for dine in and once for takeout. I was very surprised by my dine in experience. We got a lot more food for the vermicelli noodle bowl and a lot more meat in the pho. Tables and chairs are sticky and sitting by the front door is cold so I don't enjoy the dine in experience at all. We got 2 pork chop rice plates and 1 tofu noodle plate for takeout. These were really surprisingly good. I would stop by here again for the rice plates and not the pho.
